Salary: £45,000 - £85,000 (+ £5,500 car allowance for Principal level)

Your Role:
As a Senior Systems Engineering Consultant, you will play a key role in helping clients navigate their most complex challenges using Systems Thinking. With a focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), you will provide expert consultancy to drive innovation and efficiency. Our projects range from specialist consultancy assignments to high-profile national programmes, ensuring a stimulating and varied workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert consultancy to client project and engineering managers.
Lead best practice techniques and tools on both client and internal projects.
Champion a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to problem-solving.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve successful client decision milestones.
Deliver engineering outputs within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
Identify opportunities to support business growth.
Mentor and develop colleagues to build internal capability.
What You Bring:
A degree (Level 6 or above) in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent experience in an engineering field.
Professional recognition (e.g., CEng, CSEP) with an appropriate institution.
Expertise in MBSE tools and methodologies (e.g., Sparx EA, Cameo).
Understanding of modelling languages and architecture frameworks (e.g., UML/SysML, ArchiMate, TOGAF, MODAF).
Strong knowledge of requirements engineering and its integration with verification and validation.
Experience with engineering lifecycles, their selection, tailoring, and implementation.
Familiarity with the integration of complex systems, including military and civilian platforms (e.g., submarines, aircraft, ships, vehicles) and advanced energy systems.
Understanding of systems engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288:2023) and MOD acquisition frameworks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
