A world-leading manufacturer of ejection seats and related aerospace safety equipment are seeking a Senior Buyer to be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services related to facilities management.
Key Accountabilities - Senior Buyer
+ Provide the primary point of contact for suppliers.
+ Manage purchase requisitions and Capex in accordance with standard operating procedures.
+ With the relevant commodity manager, actively develop, gain agreement to and roll-out the appropriate Commodity Strategy.
+ Identify and engage with new suppliers.
+ In conjunction with the Commodity Managers research and evaluate new suppliers and technologies.
+ Monitor the external environment and keep an up-to-date knowledge of competitors and supplier capacity and capability.
+ Generation and maintenance of supplier data in Medius & SAP - cost, master data, transactions etc. to support financial and governance process.
+ Comply with all Sourcing policies & processes.
+ Ensures compliance with export controls e.g. UK, USA, others as appropriate and Company Policies & Processes.
Skills and knowledge required - Senior Buyer
+ Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject- Purchasing supply chain, CIPS
+ Extensive experience managing categories across Facilities portfolio
+ Experience within a Manufacturing or similar environment
+ All Facilities categories (including building construction, H&S regulations, Governmental building regulation)
